Doran Spas 10 mg/15 mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
Doran Spas 10 mg/15 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Omeprazole and dicyclomine. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). In doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.
Omeprazole is completely metabolized in the liver. The two major plasma metabolites are the sulphone and hydroxyomeprazole, neither of which contributes to the antisecretory activity. About 80% of a given dose is excreted in the urine, and the remainder via the bile.Dicyclomine is an antimuscarinic agent used to treat IBS. Dicyclomine is a muscarinic M1, M3, and M2 receptor antagonist as well as a non-competitive inhibitor of histamine and bradykinin used to treat spasms of the intestines seen in functional bowel disorder and irritable bowel syndrome.

Impairment of renal and hepatic functions

Acute colitis
Pregnancy
Glaucoma
Obstructive disease of the gastrointestinal tract
Babies less than 6 months of age
Breastfeeding
Doran Spas 10 mg/15 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Doran Spas 10 mg/15 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Amantadine
Amoxicillin
Antacids

Do not chew, crush or break it. Doran Spas 10 mg/15 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

If you miss a dose of Doran Spas 10 mg/15 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You will be prescribed Doran Spas 10 mg/15 mg Tablet to get relief from abdominal pain due to acidity.
It is best to take Doran Spas 10 mg/15 mg Tablet when the first sign of pain occurs.
Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor.
Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Doran Spas 10 mg/15 mg Tablet.
Incorporate the following lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity:
Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water.
Avoid spicy and fatty fried food.
Lose weight if you are obese.
If you are a smoker, consider giving up.
Don't drink too much alcohol.
Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for sometime for better digestion.
