Dotarin 40mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, but better to take it at the same time every day for better results. The dose and how often you take it depend on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.
Dotarin 40 MG Tablet is an antispasmodic medicine which relaxes the muscle gives and effective relief from pain, spasm or twitches of the smooth muscles in the stomach and heart.
Drotaverine is mainly eliminated via hepatic metabolism. About 67% of the drug is found in feces and 20% of the drug was eliminated with urine. Following oral administration of a single 80 mg dose, the mean half-life was 9.11 ± 1.29 hours. Following an intravenous dose of 80 mg, the mean half-life 9.33 ± 1.02 hours.

Gallbladder disease
Hemolytic uremic syndrome
History of Breast cancer

Dotarin Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:
Analgesics
Antimuscarinics
Benzodiazepines
Levodopa
Do not chew, crush or break it. Dotarin 40mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Dotarin 40mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Dotarin 40mg Tablet helps relieve pain due to smooth muscle spasms such as menstrual pain, pain due to kidney stone, and colicky pain.
Take it as per dose and duration suggested by your doctor.
It may cause a drop in your blood pressure. Monitor your blood pressure regularly and inform your doctor if you have a history of low blood pressure.
Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Dotarin 40mg Tablet may cause dizziness.
Inform your doctor if you have severe kidney, liver, or heart disease.
