Doxy 24 Tablet is best taken either 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for, but you should always complete a full course of this antibiotic as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it until you have finished, even when you feel better. If you stop taking it early, some bacteria may survive and the infection may come back.
Doxy 24 Tablet is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
Doxycycline is metabolized in the liver and gastrointestinal tract through an unknown mechanism and is eliminated via both biliary secretion and glomerular filtration in the kidney (8). Approximately 40% to 45% of doxycycline is recovered in urine as an unchanged drug within 72 h

Doxy 24 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Doxy 24 Tablet.
Doxy 24 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Doxy 24 Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Doxy 24 Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:

Do not chew, crush or break it. Doxy 24 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Doxy 24 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Take it with food and plenty of water to avoid stomach upset.

Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
Avoid excessive sun exposure and use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors.

Avoid Doxy 24 Tablet with dairy products such as milk, cheese, curd, butter, paneer and ice cream.
