DP-Spas Tablet is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
DP-Spas Tablet effectively relieves sudden muscle spasms or contractions in the stomach and intestine (gut), thereby relaxing the muscles and improving movement of food. It also blocks chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain sensation.
Dicyclomine is an antimuscarinic agent used to treat IBS. Dicyclomine is a muscarinic M1, M3, and M2 receptor antagonist as well as a non-competitive inhibitor of histamine and bradykinin used to treat spasms of the intestines seen in functional bowel disorder and irritable bowel syndrome.Diclofenac binds extensively to plasma albumin. The area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) of diclofenac is proportional to the dose for oral doses between 25 to 150 mg. Substantial concentrations of drug are attained in synovial fluid, which is the proposed site of action for NSAIDs.

Hypersensitivity to Dp SPas Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Dp SPas Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:

Severe ulcerative colitis
Urticaria
DP-Spas Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with DP-Spas Tablet.
DP-Spas Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Dicyclomine+Diclofenac is used in the treatment of abdominal pain. Dicyclomine + Diclofenac is a combination of two medicines: Dicyclomine and Diclofenac, which relieves abdominal pain and cramps. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic which works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine).
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Dp SPas Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Dp SPas Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:

Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of DP-Spas Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Yes, long-term use of DP-Spas Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Use of DP-Spas Tablet is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.
