It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor.The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, stomach pain, headache, nasal congestion, sinus pain, sinus inflammation, rash, tiredness, and musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain. It may also cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration. It is advised to consult with your doctor if you do not notice any changes in periods after 3 consecutive periods.

E Sylate T 250mg/250mg Tablet helps normal blood clotting, which reduces the bleeding during menstruation. It helps to prevent excessive loss of blood, stops bleeding and enhances the healing process.

Pharmacokinets

Tranexamic acid 1 g was given intravenously to three healthy volunteers. Plasma concentrations decayed in three monoexponential phases. Most elimination took place during the first eight hours, giving an apparent elimination half-life of approximately two hours. Plasma clearance ranged between 110-116 ml/min.It increases platelet adhesiveness and capillary vascular wall resistance, thereby reducing capillary exudation and blood loss. Synonym: ethamsylate. Pharmacokinetics: Absorption: Slowly and completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.

Tranexamic Acid+Ethamsylate is used in the treatment of Heavy menstrual bleeding.Tranexamic Acid is an antifibrinolytic. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots and controls excessive bleeding. Ethamsylate is a hemostatic. It works by increasing the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots. It also helps control bleeding from tiny blood vessels (capillaries).

Interactions

TRANEXAMIC ACID+ETAMSYLATE may interact with birth control pills, fibrinolytic drugs (streptokinase, urokinase, reteplase, and alteplase, etc.), an antipsychotic drug (chlorpromazine), and a drug used to treat blood cancer (tretinoin), and progestins (levonorgestrel).
