Distribution: The apparent volume of distribution of enoxaparin estimated by anti-Factor-Xa activity is approximately 4.3 Liters. Metabolism: It is metabolized in the liver by desulfation and depolymerization to lower molecular weight fragments with reduced biologic activity.


Pharmacokinets

Enoxaparin is dosed according to body weight, with 1 mg/kg every 12 hours being the most common dose used in ACS. When given intravenously, enoxaparin has a time to peak effect of 5 to 10 minutes compared with 3 to 5 hours when administered subcutaneously.

Indications

Interactions

The risk or severity of bleeding and hemorrhage can be increased when Enoxaparin is combined with Acemetacin. The risk or severity of bleeding can be increased when Enoxaparin is combined with Acenocoumarol. Acetylsalicylic acid may increase the anticoagulant activities of Enoxaparin.
