The peptide products are then further hydrolyzed into amino acids via other proteases, rendering them available for absorption into the blood stream. Bromelain influences blood coagulation by increasing the serum fibrinolytic ability and by inhibiting the synthesis of fibrin, a protein involved in blood clotting. In rats, the reduction of serum fibrinogen level by bromelain is dose dependent Rutoside is a natural flavone derivative. It has anti- inflammatory, anti-allergy and immunomodulating activity 20. Rutoside inhibits platelet aggregation, as well as decreasing capillary permeability, making the blood thinner and improving circulation. Rutin also strengthens the capillaries

Pharmacokinets

Depending on the surface area and depth of the wound, bromelain blood serum concentrations of no more than 40 µg/ml are expected, with peak concentrations reached after 2 to 4 hours. The terminal half-life varied between 8.5 and 19.9 hours in studies. The area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) of diclofenac is proportional to the dose for oral doses between 25 to 150 mg. Substantial concentrations of drug are attained in synovial fluid, which is the proposed site of action for NSAIDs. Trypsin:chymotrypsin is a widely used oral proteolytic enzyme combination to hasten repair of traumatic, surgical, and orthopedic injuries. It shows high bioavailability without losing its biological activities as an anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, fibrinolytic, antioxidant, and anti-infective agent Of these, rutin, also known as vitamin P or rutoside, has been explored for a number of pharmacological effects.
