Basic Information

Mechanism Of Action

Erob Syrup contains Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. It stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Pharmacokinets

Erythromycin is easily inactivated by gastric acid; therefore, all orally administered formulations are given as either enteric-coated or more-stable salts or esters, such as erythromycin ethylsuccinate. Erythromycin is very rapidly absorbed, and diffuses into most tissues and phagocytes.Bromhexine acts on the mucus at the formative stages in the glands, within the mucus-secreting cells. Bromhexine disrupts the structure of acid mucopolysaccharide fibres in mucoid sputum and produces a less viscous mucus, which is easier to expectorate.
