Evaxx 60mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose depends on what you are taking it for and how well it helps your symptoms. You should take it as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer than recommended. The most common side effects of this medicine include stomach pain, edema, dizziness, headache, irregular heartbeat, and increased blood pressure. These are not usually serious but if you are worried, ask your doctor about ways of reducing or preventing them.
Etoricoxib works by blocking the effect of a natural chemical called cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme. This enzyme helps to make other chemicals, called prostaglandins, in the body. Some prostaglandins are produced at sites of injury or damage, and cause pain and inflammation.
Etoricoxib is eliminated following biotransformation to carboxylic acid and glucuronide metabolites that are excreted in urine and faeces, with little of the drug (<1%) being eliminated unchanged in the urine. Etoricoxib is metabolized primarily by the cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4 isoenzyme.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
