The pharmacokinetics of adalimumab administered intravenously to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients has been described. The response to adalimumab increases with its serum concentration. A 160 mg loading dose leads to less frequent primary nonresponse and longer sustained clinical benefit in Crohn's disease patients.
