Faronac Tablet is the only medicine of its class that can be taken orally (by mouth). It may be taken with or without food. The dose and duration of treatment depend upon the severity of the infection and how you respond to the medicine. Take it at the same time each day and finish the complete course, even if you feel better. If you stop taking this medicine too early then the infection may return or worsen.The most common side effects of this medicine include rash, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. These are usually mild and resolve on their own. However, if they bother you or persist for a longer duration of time, please consult your doctor.
Faronac Tablet works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis which is essential for bacterial growth. Hence, it helps in killing the bacteria responsible for the infection.
Faropenem is a β-lactam in the penem subclass that is being developed as an oral prodrug, faropenem medoxomil, for the treatment of respiratory tract infections. Faropenem was shown to have in vitro activity against B. anthracis strains that variably express the bla1 β-lactamase (MIC range, ≤0.06 to 1 μg/ml).

Consuming alcohol with Faronac Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects.
Faronac Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Faropenem is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It treats infections of respiratory and urinary tract. Faropenem is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
FAROPENEM may have interaction with water pills (furosemide), antibiotics (imipenem + cilastatin sodium).
Do not chew, crush or break it. Faronac Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Faronac Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Faronac Tablet helps treat severe bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infection, skin infections and gynaecological infections.
Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Inform your doctor if you develop severe stomach pain or if you find blood in your stools.

Yes, the use of Faronac Tablet can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic which kills the harmful bacteria. However, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If diarrhea persists, talk to your doctor about it.
Q. What if I do not get better after using Faronac Tablet?
Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.
