Finalo Tablet is to be taken by mouth with or without food. The dose and duration of the medicine should be taken as per prescription. An overdose of it may cause harm to your health. It is better to take the medicine at the same time each day and it must be swallowed as a whole. It may take some time for the medicine to act upon the symptoms, so it is important to take the medicine regularly. The course of the treatment should be completed for better efficacy of the medicine.
Finalo 1mg Tablet blocks the action of an enzyme (5-alpha-reductase) that converts testosterone to another hormone (DHT) which is responsible for hair loss and enlarged prostate in men. Thus, by blocking the hormone, it slows hair loss and helps hair regrow.
Finasteride undergoes extensive hepatic metabolism to essentially inactive metabolites, which are eliminated through the bile and urine. The terminal elimination half-life (t1/2z) is 4.7 to 7.1 hours; but despite this, slow accumulation occurs with multiple doses.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Finasteride is indicated for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate to improve symptoms, reduce the risk of acute urinary retention, and reduce the risk of the need for surgery including transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) and prostatectomy.

Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Finalo Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have to use Finalo Tablet continuously to sustain its benefits. If treatment is stopped, the beneficial effects begin to reverse within 6 months of stopping it. Further, within 9 to 12 months of stopping Finalo Tablet, hair loss increases and becomes the same as it was before starting the treatment.
