Your doctor will explain how to use Gamamed Soap and how much you need. Read the instructions that come with the medicine to make sure you use it correctly. You should wear synthetic latex gloves to apply the medicine and avoid getting the medicine into your eyes. In case of accidental contact, wash it off immediately with a large amount of water. Generally, it is applied to your whole body except your head, mouth, eyes, and face. Your skin should be clean, dry and cool before using it. After each application, change your clothes, towels, and bedsheets to stop the spread of infection.
The most common side effects include mild burning, stinging, or tingling where the medicine is applied. Most side effects are usually mild and not everyone gets them. Sometimes itching may last for a few weeks after treating scabies. This is probably an allergic reaction to dead mites and not a sign that the treatment has failed.
Before using it, you must inform the doctor if you are suffering from any severe chronic disease like cancer or Aids. You should also ask your doctor’s advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Gamma benzene hexachloride belongs to a class of drugs called ectoparasiticides. It works by killing the mite and lice.
Possible pharmacokinetic interaction (increased percutaneous absorption of lindane). Avoid use of oil treatments or oil-based hair preparations immediately before or after applying lindane shampoo; lindane lotion should not be applied simultaneously with any other cream (e.g., conditioner), ointment, or oil. Cetrimide is a quaternary ammonium compound with surfactant and antiseptic properties. Chlorhexidine digluconate and cetrimide are poorly absorbed from the gastro- intestinal tract and skin. There is minimal systemic absorption of chlorhexidine and cetrimide following topical administration.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
