Geryl Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Take it with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.You may experience nausea and stomach pain as the side effects of this medicine. These are usually temporary and resolve on their own, but do consult your doctor if they bother you or persist for a longer duration. Diarrhea may also occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools.
Geryl Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.
The pharmacokinetics of ofloxacin are characterised by almost complete bioavailability (95 to 100%), peak serum concentrations in the range of 2 to 3 mg/L after a 400mg oral dose and an average half-life of 5 to 8h.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Geryl Tablet.
Geryl Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections that cause bronchitis, pneumonia, chlamydia, gonorrhea, skin infections, urinary tract infections, and infections of the prostate. Ofloxacin is available under the following different brand names: Floxin.

Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Geryl Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Yes, the use of Geryl Tablet can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic which kills the harmful bacteria. However, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If you are experiencing severe diarrhea, talk to your doctor about it.
Q. Can I stop taking Geryl Tablet when I feel better?
No, do not stop taking Geryl Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.
Q. Can the use of Geryl Tablet increase the risk of muscle damage?
Yes, use of Geryl Tablet is known to increase the risk of muscle damage, commonly in the ankle (achilies tendon). Muscle damage can happen in people of all ages who take Geryl Tablet. Inform your doctor if you feel any kind of muscle pain while using this medicine.
