Hylasto One Injection is administered by intra‐articular injection. Intra‐articular injection is given by inserting a needle into the space in the knee joint that contains fluid used for lubrication and cushioning. it should not be self-administered as it can be only administered by a qualified doctor. While on treatment with this medicine, you should avoid activities such as strenuous sports and exercise, or standing on your feet for a long time.
Some common side effects of this medicine include injection site reactions (such as pain, swelling, and redness), muscle pain, and joint pain. If these side effects do no resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these symptoms by prescribing you alternative medicine or adjusting the dose.
You should not take this medicine if you have a knee joint infection or skin disease, or infection around the area where the injection will be given. To make sure the medicine is safe for you, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, or liver. You should also let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking before using this medicine. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor first before taking this medicine.
Hylasto One Injection is the salt form of hyaluronic acid. It helps supplement the viscous properties of the fluid in knee joint thereby reducing friction in the joints and helps them work smoothly.
Pharmacokinetics. Sodium hyaluronate is cleared within hours of injection but appears to have residual effects on contacted cells. In the eye it is eliminated via the canal of Schlemm.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Sodium hyaluronate is similar to the fluid that surrounds the joints in your body. This fluid acts as a lubricant and shock absorber for the joints. Sodium hyaluronate is used to treat knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. Sodium hyaluronate is usually given when other arthritis medications have not been effective.

Store in a refrigerator (2 - 8°C). Do not freeze.
If you miss a dose of Hylasto One Injection, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
