Hysoft Moisturizing Cream is meant only for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. You should normally clean and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the medicine evenly on the affected skin. You should not apply it on open wounds or damaged skin.
Use it regularly to get the maximum benefit from it. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with plenty of water in case of accidental contact. Avoid covering the treated area with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor.
It is usually well tolerated with little or no side effects. However it may cause application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness in some people. These side effects are temporary and usually go away with time. However, if they persist or worsen, let your doctor know. It is important for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers to consult their doctors before using this medicine.
Hysoft Moisturizing Cream is a steroid medicine which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.
Oral bioavailability averaged 96%. Absorption was rapid, achieving maximum hydrocortisone levels of 300 ng/mL after 1 hour. Saliva levels were not proportional to plasma levels, but could be shown to reflect free, non-protein bound hydrocortisone concentrations in plasma.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Inform your doctor if you are taking antidiabetic drugs (insulin), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (aspirin, ibuprofen, diclofenac, naproxen), blood thinners (warfarin), cardiac glycosides (digoxin), diuretics (water tablets), medicines used to treat glaucoma (acetazolamide), central nervous system stimulant (ephedrine), antituberculosis drugs (rifabutin, rifampicin), anticonvulsants (phenobarbital, phenytoin, carbamazepine, primidone), growth hormone (somatropin), oral contraceptive, anti-progesterone (mifepristone), antifungal (amphotericin B, ketoconazole), antibiotic (erythromycin), anti-asthma drug (theophylline), an ulcer healing drug (carbenoxolone) and anti-HIV drugs (ritonavir).
Drug-Food Interactions: HYDROCORTISONE may interact with St. John's wort (an antidepressant herbal supplement).
Drug-Disease Interaction: Avoid taking HYDROCORTISONE if you have candida, thrush, or other infection. If you have ever had severe depression or bipolar disorder, tuberculosis (TB), glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye), have recently had a heart attack or high blood pressure, fits, osteoporosis (thinning of bones), diabetes, thyroid problems, weakened immune system, stomach ulcers, liver, kidney or heart problems, infection, inform your doctor before taking HYDROCORTISONE.

Hysoft Moisturizing Cream is used to treat the redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort of eczema.
It should be applied to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
Don't use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.
Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
If you think the area of skin you are treating has become infected you should stop using Hysoft Moisturizing Cream and consult your doctor.
Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2 weeks of treatment.

Q. Can Hysoft Moisturizing Cream be used on the face?
No, Hysoft Moisturizing Cream should not be used on the face. In addition to this, Hysoft Moisturizing Cream should not be used on the axillae (armpits), groin and if there is atrophy (wasting away of tissues) at the treatment site. In certain circumstances, it can be exceptionally considered to be used by the doctors. It should be used only after consultation with your physician and if possible, the application on the face should be limited to a maximum of 5 days.
Q. Can we use Hysoft Moisturizing Cream in infections?
Hysoft Moisturizing Cream is not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent. It is a steroid medication. It should not be used in infections as being a corticosteroid it suppresses the immune system and increases the risk of infections. Bacterial infections are prone to worsen if the infection is covered with a dressing after using Hysoft Moisturizing Cream. In case the inflammatory lesions get infected or there is any spread of infection, consult your doctor immediately. The doctor will withdraw the use of Hysoft Moisturizing Cream and provide appropriate antimicrobial therapy.
Q. How to use Hysoft Moisturizing Cream?
Before using Hysoft Moisturizing Cream, clean and dry the affected area. Gently and thoroughly massage it into the skin. Be careful not to get the medication in your eyes or mouth. If Hysoft Moisturizing Cream gets in your eyes accidentally, wash with plenty of water and call your doctor if your eyes are irritated.
Q. Can I stop taking Hysoft Moisturizing Cream when my symptoms are relieved?
No, do not stop taking Hysoft Moisturizing Cream and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before your treatment is complete. Stopping Hysoft Moisturizing Cream before your treatment is completed can bring back your symptoms of skin.
