Ibugesic Oral Suspension is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
After oral administration, peak serum concentration is reached after 1–2 hours, and up to 99% of the drug is bound to plasma proteins. The majority of ibuprofen is metabolized and eliminated within 24 hours in the urine; however, 1% of the unchanged drug is removed through biliary excretion.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

It is also available as an over-the-counter medication for pain, usually mild. It is in the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) class of medications.
There are several blood thinners that can interact with ibuprofen. These include anticoagulants, such as warfarin (Coumadin, Jantoven), apixaban (Eliquis), and rivaroxaban (Xarelto). Other blood thinners include antiplatelet medications, like clopidogrel (Plavix) and ticagrelor (Brilinta).

Take/Administer the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
You have been prescribed Ibugesic Oral Suspension to relieve pain and inflammation.
Take it with food or milk to prevent upset stomach.
Take it as per the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Long term use may lead to serious complications such as stomach bleeding and kidney problems.
Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Ibugesic Oral Suspension .
Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Ibugesic Oral Suspension as it can increase your risk of stomach problems.
Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease or stroke.
Your doctor may regularly monitor your kidney function, liver function and levels of blood components if you are taking this medicine for long-term treatment.

Is it safe to consume alcohol while taking this medicine?
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with this medicine due to the increased risk of serious side effects such as severe gastrointestinal bleeding, dizziness, fatigue, weakness, rashes, nausea, joint pain, fever, etc. Avoid performing activities that need high mental alertness like driving a vehicle or operating heavy machinery if alcohol and this medicine are used together.
