Ifiral Eye Drop is a mast cell stabilizer. It works on certain cells in the body (mast cells) to prevent them from releasing substances that cause allergic symptoms such as red, itchy and watery eyes.
Pharmacokinetic studies in man have shown that sodium cromoglycate is very poorly absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract when given orally. After inhalation of the drug in powder form, less than 10% of the inhaled dose reaches the lungs, the remainder being deposited in the mouth and oropharynx and then swallowed.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
