JP Cilin 250mg Capsule is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that fights and stops the growth of many types of bacteria. This medicine should be taken on an empty stomach. Use it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening. The total duration of treatment and precise dosage will be decided by your doctor, depending on the type of infection that you have and how well you respond to the medication.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin or any penicillin-type of medicine. Rash, vomiting, allergic reactions, nausea, and diarrhea may be seen as side effects in some patients. These are temporary and usually resolve quickly. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects persist or if your condition worsens. This medicine is generally regarded as safe to use during pregnancy if used under a doctor’s supervision.
JP Cilin 250mg Capsule is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
Amoxicillin is approximately 60% bioavailable. A 250mg dose of oral amoxicillin reaches a Cmax 3.93±1.13mg/L with a Tmax 1.31±0.33h and an AUC of 27.29±4.72mg*h/L. A 875mg dose of oral amoxicillin reaches a Cmax 11.21±3.42mg/L with a Tmax 1.52±0.40h and an AUC of 55.04±12.68mg*h/L.
Rash, vomiting, allergic reactions, nausea, and diarrhea may be seen as side effects in some patients.
Prior occurrences of anaphylactic reactions or severe skin responses, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, to amoxicillin or other beta-lactams are a contraindication to amoxicillin. [38] These reactions may have crossover sensitivity with cephalosporins or carbapenems.
JP Cilin 250mg Capsule is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Consuming alcohol with JP Cilin 250mg Capsule does not cause any harmful side effects.
JP Cilin 250mg Capsule is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Amoxicillin is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as pneumonia; bronchitis (infection of the airway tubes leading to the lungs); and infections of the ears, nose, throat, urinary tract, and skin.
Amoxicillin interacts with medications like warfarin, allopurinol, and probenecid. It can also cause trouble with alcohol and interact with live vaccines for cholera and typhoid. To prevent interactions, make sure to give your healthcare provider and pharmacist your most current medication list.

If you miss a dose of JP Cilin 250mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
