LABLOL 20MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients with asthma, hypotension (low blood pressure) or shock. It is also not suitable for use in patients with heart block, history of heart attack or heart failure.

Mechanism Of Action

LABLOL 20MG INJECTION is an alpha, beta-blocker. It works by blocking the actions of certain chemical messengers (such as adrenaline and noradrenaline) in our body that controls the functions of the heart, brain, kidneys and lungs. This action relaxes the blood vessels supplying the heart and improves blood flow and oxygen supply, reduces the strain on the heart and helps the heart to pump blood more efficiently with less pressure.

Labetalol HCl is completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract with peak plasma levels occurring 1 to 2 hours after oral administration. The relative bioavailability of labetalol HCl tablets compared to an oral solution is 100%.

Contra Indications

If you had or have any stage of heart blockages.

 If you have any heart-related condition such as shock, heart failure, decreased heart rate, and low blood pressure.

 If you have a history of asthma or any other lung problem.

 If you have an untreated adrenal gland tumour (phaeochromocytoma).

 If you have electrolyte imbalance (metabolic acidosis).
