Lafukem 10mg Tablet is also commonly prescribed to prevent stomach ulcers or heartburn caused due to the use of painkillers. It must be swallowed whole with water before or after a meal. The medicine must be taken in dose and duration as advised by the doctor. This medicine should relieve indigestion and heartburn within a few hours. If the symptoms persist or get worse even after 14 days of treatment, you should consult your doctor immediately. It is not recommended to take this medicine in severe stomach disease. You can help the medicine work better by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding spicy or oily foods.

This way, Lafukem 10mg Tablet decreases acid production in the stomach and helps in healing the ulcers of the stomach and small intestine. Additionally, it reduces discomfort such as heartburn and gives relief from acid-related indigestion.

Lafutidine is a histamine H2-antagonist with gastroprotective activity. It is used in the treatment of gastric ulcers and before general anaesthesia to reduce the incidence of aspiration pneumonia. Distribution: Protein binding: 88%. Metabolism: Metabolised by CYP3A4 (mainly) and CYP2D6.

Drug-Drug Interactions: LAFUTIDINE interacts with drugs like Diuretics (furosemide), NSAIDS (lornoxicam), antacids (cimetidine),ACE inhibitors (Captopril), antidepressants (lithium), anti-coagulants (warfarin, Heparin), anti-platelet (aspirin), anti-cancer (methotrexate),HIV medications (atazanavir, efavirenz, nevirapine) and anti-diabetic (acarbose).
