Lashisma Solution (3ml Each) is suitable for adults and children and can be used by itself or in combination with other eye medicines to reduce pressure. Follow the instructions given by your doctor and use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit. If you stop using it, pressure in the eye could increase and damage your sight. Never use a bottle if the seal is broken before you use it for the first time. Make sure you remove contact lenses if you wear them and wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back.
The most common side effects of this medicine include conjunctival hyperemia and eye itching. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor. They may be able to tell you ways of reducing or preventing some side effects or suggest another treatment. If your vision is blurred or you have other changes in sight for a time, do not drive until your vision is clear. This is usually a short term side effect.
Lashisma Solution (3ml Each) is a prostaglandin analogue. It works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor, thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.
One pharmacokinetic study of bimatoprost in 6 healthy volunteers determined that 67% of the administered dose was found to be excreted in the urine while 25% of the dose was recovered in the feces. The elimination half-life of bimatoprost is approximately 45 minutes.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Bimatoprost is contraindicated in patients with a past medical history of bimatoprost hypersensitivity or hypersensitivity to ingredients within the formulation. These include preservatives such as benzalkonium chloride.

To reduce the amount of Lashisma Solution (3ml Each) that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.

Drug-drug Interactions: BIMATOPROST may interact with other prostaglandins ophthalmic medications like latanoprost, tafluprost, travoprost, and unoprostone.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have or ever had liver or kidney disease, uveitis (eye inflammation), or macular edema (building up of fluid in the eye leading to swelling.

Store in a refrigerator (2 - 8°C). Do not freeze.
If you miss a dose of Lashisma Solution (3ml Each), skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Your eyelashes may become more dense and eyelid skin may darken. These changes should disappear after discontinuing Lashisma Solution (3ml Each).
Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop.
This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.
Q. What happens if I stop using Lashisma Solution (3ml Each)?
If you stop using Lashisma Solution (3ml Each), the eyelashes may return to their previous appearance after several weeks or months. In case you have developed any eyelid skin darkening, it may reverse after several weeks or months. However, any change in the color of the iris is permanent and will not reverse.
