Levozet tablet is an antiallergic medicine used in allergic conditions such as common cold, allergic rhinitis (running nose), urticaria, insect bite and hives. It contains levocetirizine as its active medicine. Allergic symptoms appear due to the production of a chemical in the body, namely histamine. Levozet tablet works by blocking the actions of histamine. Do not use it if you are allergic to levocetirizine. Avoid driving and handling any machinery, as this medicine makes you less alert.
Histamine is a substance produced in our body in case of allergies and responsible for itching, runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes. Levozet tablet works by blocking the action of histamine and relieves allergy symptoms
Levocetirizine is rapidly and extensively absorbed following oral administration. In adults, peak plasma concentrations are achieved 0.9 hour after administration of the oral tablet. The accumulation ratio following daily oral administration is 1.12 with steady state achieved after 2 days.

Limited information is available on the safety of Levozet tablet in pregnant women. Hence, it is better to avoid this medicine in pregnancy unless specified by your physician.
Avoid drinking alcohol as it may cause an additional reduction in alertness and impairment of performance.
Contents of Levozet tablet pass into breast milk; therefore, it is advised not to take this medicine while breastfeeding.

Do not chew, crush or break it. Levozet 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Take the missed dose of Levozet tablet as early as you remember. Skip the missed dose and avoid taking extra medicine to compensate for the missed dose.
Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, nausea, rash or severe allergic reactions. If this happens to you, inform your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
Your doctor has prescribed Levozet 5mg Tablet to help relieve allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes.
As compared to other similar medications, it is much less likely to make you feel sleepy.
Be cautious while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as it can cause dizziness and sleepiness.
Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication as it may cause increased sleepiness.
Take Levozet tablet as a whole with a sufficient amount of water as prescribed by your doctor.
Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
