Linoplus 600mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. You should take it regularly as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. If you stop taking this medicine too early then infection may return or worsen.

Linoplus Tablet works by inhibiting the formation of proteins required by the bacteria for their growth and multiplication. This will arrest the spread of bacteria and control the infection.

Maximum plasma linezolid concentrations are usually achieved between 1 and 2 hours after oral administration. Food slightly decreases the rate, but not the extent, of absorption.

Indications

Linezolid is a synthetic oxazolidinone antimicrobial drug. It is indicated for gram-positive infections and approved for the treatment of bacterial pneumonia, skin and skin structure infections, and vancomycin-resistant enterococcal (VRE) infections, including infections complicated by bacteremia.

Interactions

LINEZOLID may have interaction with anti-asthma (albuterol, ipratropium), antihistamine (diphenhydramine), diuretics (furosemide), anti-emetic (ondansetron), anti-hypertensive agent (metoprolol).
