Mechanism Of Action

Lupimox C Capsule contains Amoxicillin 250mg and Cloxacillin 250mg it is a combination of two medicines. Amoxicillin and Cloxacillin is penicillin derivative that has a bactericidal effect by killing the bacterial cell wall which is needed for the multiplication of bacteria.

Pharmacokinets

Amoxicillin is in a class of medications called penicillin-like antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic acid is in a class of medications called beta-lactamase inhibitors. It works by preventing bacteria from destroying amoxicillin.Cloxacillin binds to and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall, thereby preventing the cross-linkage of peptidoglycans, which are critical components of the bacterial cell wall.

Contra Indications

Breastfeeding mothers should consult a doctor before using AMOXICILLIN+CLOXACILLIN.
