Metadrate Tablet is used to prevent nausea and vomiting due to various reasons. It speeds up the passage of food through the stomach into the intestine, which helps prevent vomiting. It also prevents food from flowing upwards.
Metoclopramide promotes gut motility by the following three mechanisms: inhibition of presynaptic and postsynaptic D2 receptors, stimulation of presynaptic excitatory 5-HT4 receptors and antagonism of presynaptic inhibition of muscarinic receptors (Figure 2A).Magaldrate is a hydroxymagnesium aluminate complex that is converted rapidly by gastric acid into Mg(OH)2 and Al(OH)3, which are absorbed poorly and thus provide a sustained antacid effect.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
