Mexate Tablet stops or reduces inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis by altering the body’s defenses.
In psoriasis, it kills the cells in the skin, which are growing too quickly. It is these fast growing cells, which cause the raised patches of skin in psoriasis.
Transport of MTX across the capillary and cell membranes of the liver, kidney, and skin is rapid, so that equilibrium ratios of tissue to plasma concentrations (plasma concentrations > 1 µM) are established on a time scale consistent with plasma flow limitation.
