Mobidin 20mg Capsule should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. The dose and duration will depend on what you are taking it for and how well it helps your symptoms. You should keep taking the medicine even if you feel better until the doctor says it is alright to stop using it.

Mechanism Of Action

Mobidin 20mg Capsule is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation (pain and swelling).

Pharmacokinets

Piroxicam is highly bound (approximately 99%) to plasma proteins and has a small distribution volume (approximately 10 l). Despite its high plasma binding, the drug readily penetrates into synovial fluid. Piroxicam has a long elimination half-life of about 50 h.

Pregnancy Related Information

Mobidin 20mg Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Product And Alcohol Interaction

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Mobidin 20mg Capsule.

Breast Feeding Related Information

Mobidin 20mg Capsule is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Indications

Piroxicam is used to relieve pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis (arthritis caused by a breakdown of the lining of the joints) and rheumatoid arthritis (arthritis caused by swelling of the lining of the joints). Piroxicam is in a class of medications called NSAIDs.

Interactions

Products that may interact with this drug include: aliskiren, ACE inhibitors (such as captopril, lisinopril), angiotensin II receptor blockers (such as losartan, valsartan), cidofovir, corticosteroids (such as prednisone), lithium, "water pills" (diuretics such as furosemide).

Effects Of Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of Mobidin 20mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
