Moisol R Injection also provides a protective barrier, shielding delicate eye tissues, such as the cornea and lens, from potential damage caused by surgical instruments and acts as a lubricant, reducing friction and facilitating smoother movements during the surgery.
Moisol R Injection is well-tolerated and does not usually cause any side effects. However, in some patients, it may cause a transient rise in intraocular pressure after the surgery. Let your doctor know in case you experience any symptoms.
The doctor will carefully monitor intraocular pressure, especially during the immediate postoperative period and treat with the appropriate therapy in case of significant rise. Moisol R Injection is not recommended for us in patients with a known history of hypersensitivity to its ingredients.
Moisol R Injection is a viscoelastic preparation. It works by supporting and protecting the deeper layers of the eye from damage during eye surgery.
HPMC elimination exhibited order one kinetics, with a half life of 10.4 days for HPMC 86,000 and 38.4 days for HPMC 120,000. These results suggest that by choosing HPMC of suitable molecular weight it may be possible to control the residence time of the polymer in the vitreous cavity.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
