Mox CV 1G Tablet is best taken with a meal to reduce the chance of a stomach upset. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for, but you should always complete a full course of this antibiotic as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it until you have finished, even when you feel better. If you stop taking it early, some bacteria may survive and the infection may come back or worsen.
The most common side effects of Mox CV 1G Tablet include vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or will not go away.
Before taking it, let your doctor know if you are allergic to any antibiotics or have any kidney or liver problems. You should also let your healthcare team know about all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by, Mox CV 1G Tablet. This medicine is generally regarded as safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding if prescribed by a doctor.
Mox CV 1G Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.
The half-life of amoxicillin is 61.3 minutes. Approximately 60% of an orally administered dose of amoxicillin is excreted in the urine within 6 to 8 hours. Detectable serum levels are observed up to 8 hours after an orally administered dose of amoxicillin. Clavulanic acid is well absorbed after oral ingestion in adult men, with a mean bioavailability of 60%. Peak concentrations are reached on average 0.7–2.0 h after ingestion. Its metabolism is partly hepatic with plasma protein binding up to 30% and it is cleared through both renal and non-renal pathways [13, 14].
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
