Myorelex 100mg Injection relaxes the muscles by blocking the impulses from the nerves.

Pharmacokinets

Following intramuscular (IM) administration the onset of action occurs in about 2-3 minutes, with a duration ranging from 10-30 minutes. The duration of action is prolonged in patients with low plasma pseudocholinesterase concentration. Suxamethonium crosses the placenta, generally in small amounts.

Indications

It is used in anaesthesia as a skeletal muscle relaxant to facilitate tracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation surgical procedures. Suxamethonium chloride injection is also used to reduce the intensity of muscular contractions associated with pharmacologically or electrically-induced convulsions.
