AMLODIPINE+NEBIVOLOL is a combination of blood pressure-lowering medicine, contains Amlodipine (calcium channel blocker) and Nebivolol (beta-blocker), primarily used to treat high blood pressure. Amlodipine works by relaxing the blood vessels.
It is important to note that nebivolol is metabolized by CYP2D6; hence pharmacogenetic variations can affect the various pharmacokinetics parameters. The active isomer (d-nebivolol) has a half-life of about 12 hours in extensive metabolizers of CYP2D6 and 19 hours in poor metabolizers of CYP2D6.
Amlodipine is heavily (approximately 90%) converted to inactive metabolites via hepatic breakdown with 10% of the parent compound and 60% of the metabolites found excreted in the urine. Ex vivo studies have shown that about 93% of the circulating drug is bound to plasma proteins in hypertensive patients Label.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
