Basic Information

Mechanism Of Action

The two active ingredients, sodium hyaluronate and dexpanthenol act by reducing inflammation to relieve redness and irritation. They help soothe the eyes and moisten them for relief from dryness.

Pharmacokinets

Due to hyaluronic acid's highly anionic proprieties, it can attract water to swell and create volume and provide structural support. Aging leads to decreased production of hyaluronic acid and collagen in the skin. Once the skin has lost its viscoelastic properties, overlying wrinkles begin to form.Panthenol is well absorbed into the skin and quickly converted into Pantothenic acid by oxidation. Pantothenic acid is distributed into the cells and is converted to Acetyl Coenzyme-A (Acetyl CoA) in the cells of the epidermis.
