Nimcet 100mg Tablet DT should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms, for the shortest possible time. You should take this medicine regularly while you need it. Try not to miss doses as this will make the medicine less effective.
Some common side effects of this medicine include diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the symptoms.
To make sure it is safe for you, before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions or disorders. You should also tell your doctor all the other medicines you're using or taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before using this medicine.
Nimesulide only weakly inhibits prostaglandin synthesis and appears to exert its effects through various mechanisms. It inhibits the release of oxidants from activated neutrophils and has a scavenging effect on hypochlorous acid without affecting neutrophil function.
Nimesulide is rapidly distributed and has an apparent volume of distribution ranging between 0.18 and 0.39 L/kg. It is extensively bound to albumin; the unbound fraction in plasma was 1%. The unbound fraction increased to 2 and 4% in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Nimcet 100mg Tablet DT.

Nimesulide is extensively bound to plasma proteins and may be displaced from binding sites by concurrently administered drugs such as fenofibrate, salicylic acid and tolbutamide. In addition, nimesulide may displace salicylic acid and furosemide (but not warfarin) from plasma proteins.

If you miss a dose of Nimcet 100mg Tablet DT, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
