Nindral 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. However, take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor as it has a high potential of habit-forming.
If you have missed any doses, take it as soon as you remember it and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. You should not stop this medication without talking to your doctor as it may cause nausea and anxiety.
Some common side effects of this medicine include lightheadedness and impaired coordination. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Nindral 5mg Tablet is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
Flurazepam is rapidly metabolized and is excreted primarily in the urine. Less than 1% of the dose is excreted in the urine as N1-desalkyl-flurazepam.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

If you miss a dose of Nindral 5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You may continue to feel the effects of Nindral 5mg Tablet for one to two nights after you stop taking the medication.

Nindral 5mg Tablet is used for the short-term treatment of sleeplessness (also known as insomnia) when it is severe. It can help overcome difficulties in falling asleep and may help if you wake up frequently in the middle of the night. Nindral 5mg Tablet helps you to sleep but does not cure the underlying cause of your insomnia, which you should discuss with your doctor.

Taking more than the recommended dose of Nindral 5mg Tablet may cause drowsiness, confusion, tiredness, difficulty in speaking, trouble in coordinating movements (ataxia), breathing difficulty, and impaired vision. Excess of Nindral 5mg Tablet may rarely cause coma (loss of consciousness for a period of time) and very rarely death. If you have taken too much of Nindral 5mg Tablet, you should immediately seek medical attention in a nearby hospital or contact your doctor.
