Nodict 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly at a fixed time each day to get the maximum benefit of the medicine. Continue taking the medicine for as long as the doctor has prescribed it. DO not stop taking the medicine until you have finished the full course.
Common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, headache, nervousness, anxiety, sleep disorders, restlessness, abdominal pain, joint pain, muscle pain, and weakness. Do not drive or operate machinery after taking the medicine as you may feel dizzy or tired.
Nodict 50mg Tablet is an opioid antagonist. It works by blocking the euphoric feelings (highs) that you may experience after taking opiates and alcohol. This reduces craving and helps you remain off of them.
The pharmacokinetic profile of naltrexone suggests that naltrexone and its metabolites may undergo enterohepatic recycling. Naltrexone appears to have extra-hepatic sites of drug metabolism and its major metabolite undergoes active tubular secretion (see Metabolism above).

This medication is used to prevent people who have been addicted to certain drugs (opiates) from taking them again. It is used as part of a complete treatment program for drug abuse (such as compliance monitoring, counseling, behavioral contract, lifestyle changes).
Drug-Drug interactions: NALTREXONE may interact with opioid- medications (e.g. codeine, hydrocodone), anti-rheumatic medications (e.g. leflunomide), and sedative medications (e.g. droperidol).
Drug-Food interactions: Consumption of alcohol should be prohibited.
Drug-Disease interactions: NALTREXONE may interact with various disease conditions, including kidney disease & liver disease, galactose intolerance, depression and suicidal tendencies.
