Norflox 200 Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. If you stop taking this medicine too early, the bacteria may continue to grow and the infection may return or worsen.

Mechanism Of Action

Norflox 200 Tablet is a combination of two medicines. Norfloxacin is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them. Lactobacillus is a probiotic. It works by restoring the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset after antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections. This is how it works to treat bacterial infections.


Pharmacokinets

Absorption of norfloxacin is rapid following single doses of 200 mg, 400 mg and 800 mg. At the respective doses, mean peak serum and plasma concentrations of 0.8, 1.5 and 2.4 μg/mL are attained approximately one hour after dosing.Lactobacillus restores the intestinal flora, post-antibiotic diarrhea and for prevention of post-antibiotic vulvovaginal yeast infections (candidiasis). Numerous products available have shown effectiveness.

Renal insufficiency

Severe intestinal infection

Tendinitis

Effects Of Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of Norflox 200 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
