Common side effects of this medicine include dizziness, indigestion, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and increased liver enzymes. Your doctor may regularly monitor your kidney function, liver function, and levels of blood components if you are taking this medicine for long-term treatment. Long-term use may lead to serious complications such as stomach bleeding and kidney problems.
The mechanism of action of aceclofenac is largely based on the inhibition of prostaglandin production by selectively inhibiting COX-2 (half maximal inhibitory concentration [IC50] COX-2/COX-1 ratio 0.26).
After oral administration, aceclofenac is rapidly and completely absorbed as unchanged drug. Peak plasma concentrations are reached approximately 1.25 to 3.00 hours following ingestion. Aceclofenac penetrates into the synovial fluid, where the concentrations reach approximately 57% of those in plasma.

Aceclofenac 100 mg Film-coated Tablets is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis in adults. Undesirable effects may be minimised by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms (see section 4.4).
Aceclofenac may decrease the antihypertensive activities of Amlodipine. The risk or severity of hyperkalemia can be increased when Aceclofenac is combined with Ammonium chloride. The risk or severity of gastrointestinal bleeding can be increased when Amoxapine is combined with Aceclofenac.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Novoflam 200mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Novoflam 200mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Q. Can Novoflam 200mg Tablet hurt your kidneys?
Long-term use and high doses of Novoflam 200mg Tablet may cause renal problems, such as protein or blood in urine and pain during urination. Patients who had or have heart failure, impaired kidney function and hypertension are at risk of kidney problems. The risk of developing kidney problems is also high in patients who are on medicines which cause excess urination (diuretics), or medicines which have significant impact on kidney function. Along with that, Novoflam 200mg Tablet can affect kidneys of patients who are above 65 years of age or who remain dehydrated. Therefore, kidney function monitoring is recommended for such patients.
