Ofdol Ear Drop is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Hold the dropper close to the ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the ear. Do not touch the tip to any surface, or to your ear, to avoid contamination. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
This medicine generally has minimal or no side effects. However, it may cause dizziness, taste chance, irritation in the ear, or ear pain. If you experience any of these side effects which does not resolve on their own or get worse, consult with your doctor.
Ofdol Ear Drop is an antibiotic. It treats bacterial ear infections by preventing the bacteria from dividing and repairing. It does so stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase.
The pharmacokinetics of ofloxacin are characterised by almost complete bioavailability (95 to 100%), peak serum concentrations in the range of 2 to 3 mg/L after a 400mg oral dose and an average half-life of 5 to 8h.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Ofdol Ear Drop is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
To reduce the amount of Ofdol Ear Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.

Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections that cause bronchitis, pneumonia, chlamydia, gonorrhea, skin infections, urinary tract infections, and infections of the prostate. Ofloxacin is available under the following different brand names: Floxin.

Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Ofdol Ear Drop, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Ofdol Ear Drop for the treatment of bacterial infections of the ear.

Lie with the affected ear uppermost for at least ten minutes after putting the drops to avoid the drops running out.
Discard after 4 weeks of opening the bottle.

No, do not stop taking Ofdol Ear Drop and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.

Yes, use of Ofdol Ear Drop is known to increase the risk of muscle damage, commonly in the ankle (achilies tendon). Muscle damage can happen in people of all ages who take Ofdol Ear Drop. Inform your doctor if you feel any kind of muscle pain while using this medicine.
