Oflox Eye/Ear Drop is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

It may cause eye discomfort, immediately following application. However, this is temporary and usually subsides on its own. Inform your doctor if it persists for a longer duration. Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections that cause bronchitis, pneumonia, chlamydia, gonorrhea, skin infections, urinary tract infections, and infections of the prostate.

Interactions

This medicine may have an interaction with blood thinners (aspirin, warfarin), antidepressants and antipsychotics (clozapine, olanzapine), caffeine-containing medications, insulin, or other anti-diabetic medications (chlorpropamide, glimepiride, glipizide, glyburide, metformin, tolazamide, and tolbutamide), medications for regulating irregular heartbeat (amiodarone, disopyramide, procainamide, quinidine), pain killers (ibuprofen, naproxen). Take OFLOXACIN either 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking an antacid, multivitamin, or other product that has calcium/magnesium/aluminum/iron/zinc, antiulcer agent (sucralfate), or anti-HIV drug (didanosine).
