Give Omnacortil Oral Solution to your child with food. The usually prescribed frequency is once daily, preferably in the morning after breakfast. The dose of this medication will depend on your child’s clinical condition, body weight, age, and treatment response. Use Omnacortil Oral Solution only for the recommended duration of time. Do not prolong its use, more than recommended as that may lead to increased side effects. Also, do not stop giving this medicine suddenly. Sudden withdrawal may affect the ongoing treatment and the child may exhibit withdrawal symptoms such as dizziness, vomiting, and thirst. The dose needs to be gradually reduced before stopping it completely. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Omnacortil Oral Solution, let the child calm down, and then give the same dose again.

Never practice self-medication, always consult your child’s doctor for advice. Your child’s doctor must be aware of your child’s entire medical history, including any previous episode of allergy, heart problem, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. Having an insight into your child’s overall health will help. This will guide the doctor in planning your child’s overall treatment.

Pharmacokinets

In humans, the pharmacokinetics of prednisolone is complex. After oral intake, it exhibits rapid absorption and becomes almost completely (80%-100%) available.
