Orosoothe Gel should be used as directed by your doctor and use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Apply it only in the mouth with clean hands. Do not use it more than the recommended dose.
This medicine is generally safe and does not cause any side effects. However, if you experience any allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, rashes, etc., you should consult the doctor immediately.
Orosoothe Gel is a combination of two medicines: Choline Salicylate and Lidocaine. Choline Salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) which cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Choline Salicylate is the choline salt of salicylic acid, used as an analgesic, antipyretic and antirheumatic. It relieves mild to moderate pain and reduce fever and inflammation or swelling. Choline salicylate is effective in the treatment of gout, rheumatic fever, rheumatoid arthritis and muscle injuries 4.Lidocaine can block Na+ and K+ ion channels and regulate intracellular and extracellular calcium concentrations through other ligand-gated ion channels. Lidocaine was the first sodium channel blocker to be identified. Its main mechanism of action is blocking voltage-gated Na+ channels (VGSC/NaVs).
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Choline Salicylate + Lidocaine helps relieve pain and inflammation caused by mouth ulcers, sore gums and denture irritation. Apply it over the affected area with a clean fingertip, three to four times a day or as directed by your doctor. Stop using this medicine and inform your doctor if any irritation occurs.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Orosoothe Gel may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Orosoothe Gel may interact with the following drugs and products:
Aspirin
Salicylates
Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Orosoothe Gel, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
Consult a doctor before taking any medicines.
