These conditions lead to symptoms such as heartburn, discomfort in the stomach, vomiting sensation, and difficulty in swallowing food. Pantaom D Tablet reduces the sensation of nausea and decreases the production of stomach acid. Thus, it helps to heal ulcers.

A pump called the proton pump in the stomach is responsible for the secretion of stomach acids. Pantoprazole binds to this proton pump in stomach cells, thus blocking acid secretion. Domperidone increases the motility of the stomach and intestines so that acid does not reflux back into the food pipe.
Pantoprazole is extensively metabolized in the liver through the cytochrome P-450 system, predominantly by CYP2C19 demethylation with subsequent sulfation and has a serum elimination half-life of about 1.1 hours. Pantoprazole does not accumulate, and its pharmacokinetics are not altered by multiple daily dosing.
Domperidone is a specific blocker of dopamine receptors. It speeds gastrointestinal peristalsis, causes prolactin release, and is used as antiemetic and tool in the study of dopaminergic mechanisms. Side effects include galactorrhea, gynecomastia, or menstrual irregularities.
