Passitum Forte 2000 mg/1000 mg Injection acts by killing the bacteria responsible for infections. However, bacteria make an enzyme (beta-lactamases), which can destroy cefoperazone. Sulbactam inactivates this enzyme and hence helps cefoperazone to function optimally.
The human pharmacology of cefoperazone is similar to cephazolin in terms of serum concentrations, half-life, protein binding, and apparent volume of distribution, but markedly different in terms of biliary and renal excretion.Sulbactam, a new beta-lactamase inhibitor, has pharmacokinetic characteristics in humans similar to those of ampicillin and amoxicillin. Its half-life in humans is approximately 1 h.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
