Basic Information

Mechanism Of Action

Tranexamic Acid is an anti-fibrinolytic medicine. It works by helping blood clot normally to reduce bleeding during periods, or after surgery. Tribasic Calcium Phosphate and Citrus Bioflavonoid provide essential nutrients. Menadione is a blood clotting vitamin which controls excessive bleeding

Pharmacokinets

Tranexamic acid 1 g was given intravenously to three healthy volunteers. Plasma concentrations decayed in three monoexponential phases. Most elimination took place during the first eight hours, giving an apparent elimination half-life of approximately two hours. Plasma clearance ranged between 110-116 ml/min

Calcium phosphate aids in cell functioning and plays a vital role in many different body processes, including bone growth and energy production. Tricalcium phosphate is effective as a nutritional supplement because it is readily absorbed in the body

Menadione (USP) [2-methyl-l,4-naphthoquinone; vitamin K3; menaphthone (BP)] is a bright yellow crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 172.18. It is soluble in benzene and in ether. It is slightly soluble in glacial acetic acid and in water. Solutions may be heated to 120° without decomposition.

Bioflavonoids are found in the rind of green citrus fruits and in rose hips and black currants. Bioflavonoids have been used in alternative medicine as an antioxidant to treat osteoarthritis and other inflammatory conditions, to support blood circulation and a healthy heart, and enhance the action of vitamin C
