It is given as an injection into the muscle under the supervision of a healthcare professional. It should be used regularly as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening. The total duration of treatment and precise dosage will be decided by your doctor, depending on the type of infection that you have and how well you respond to the medication.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin or any penicillin-type of medicine. Rash, allergic reactions or pain, swelling, and redness at the site of injection may be seen as side effects in some patients. These are temporary and usually resolve quickly. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects persist or if your condition worsens. This medicine is generally regarded as safe to use during pregnancy if used under a doctor’s supervision.
Penidure LA 6 Injection is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
Benidipine is rapidly absorbed after oral administration reaching a maximum concentration within 2 hours. The short period of time needed for maximum concentration to get reached is a particular characteristic of benidipine when compared with other calcium channel blockers.

Penidure LA 6 Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Benidipine is a potent and long-lasting drug indicated for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, renoparenchymal hypertension and angina pectoris.
Drug-Drug Interactions: BENIDIPINE may interact with high blood pressure lowering pills (benazepril, metoprolol, ramipril, hydrochlorothiazide etc.), anti-TB (rifampin), antifungal (itraconazole), cardiac-glycoside (digoxin) and H2 blockers (cimetidine).
Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid foods with high fat or cholesterol. Avoid too much salt, like pickles, extra salt on salad, and grapefruit juice.
Drug-Disease Interactions: BENIDIPINE should not be given to people with low blood pressure (hypotension), liver disease, or kidney disease.

It is given by an injection into a vein or muscle, or via a drip into a vein.
