The dose and duration depends on the seriousness of your condition. You should have your injections at the same time each day to get the most benefit and you should keep on taking this medicine for as long as you are prescribed it, even if your symptoms quickly improve. If you stop taking it too early the infection may return or worsen.
Common side effects of this medicine include nausea and vomiting, and headache. Consult with your doctor if any of these side effects persist and do not go away with time. Before taking this medicine, you should let your doctor know of all the other medicines you are taking, have any heart, liver, or kidney disease. Phenpres 10mg Injection is an blood-pressure increasing medication. It works on the receptors on blood vessels and causes them to contract and narrow. This raises the low blood pressure.
Following oral administration, peak plasma concentrations are achieved in 1 - 2 hours. The mean plasma half-life is in the range 2 - 3 hours. The volume of distribution is large (200 to 500 litres) [1, 8]. Penetration of the brain and excretion in breast milk appear to be minimal.
Common side effects of this medicine include nausea and vomiting, and headache.
Phenylephrine use warrants caution in patients with a history of bradycardia, severe cardiac dysfunction, and hypovolemia.
IV phenylephrine may worsen angina, heart failure, or pulmonary arterial hypertension in patients with severe arteriosclerosis or a history of angina.

Phenylephrine is used to relieve nasal discomfort caused by colds, allergies, and hay fever. It is also used to relieve sinus congestion and pressure. Phenylephrine will relieve symptoms but will not treat the cause of the symptoms or speed recovery.
Drug-Drug Interaction: Inform your doctor if you are taking medicines used to treat heart disease (digoxin), antidepressants (amitriptyline), drugs for helping blood circulation and controlling angina (glyceryl trinitrate), beta-blockers (atenolol), some antibiotics, other nasal decongestants and some epilepsy treatments.
