Power Vegra 100 MG Tablet contains Sildenafil. It is better known as the blue pill. It is an effective medicine used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Erectile dysfunction is a condition where a man is unable to achieve and/or maintain an erection adequate for sexual intercourse. This happens because of decreased blood flow due to physical injuries and certain medical conditions, or due to some psychological conditions such as anxiety, stress, depression, etc.
Sildenafil is a selective inhibitor of cGMP-specific phosphodiesterase (PDE-5). Penile erection involves relaxation of the corpus cavernosum, an event mediated by NO and cGMP. The biological actions of cGMP are terminated by phosphodiesterase enzymes and PDE-5 is the major cGMP metabolising enzyme in this tissue.
Sildenafil was rapidly cleared from the body with a plasma elimination half-life of approximately 3–4 h over the dose range of 25 and 200 mg. These characteristics represent pharmacokinetic support for the effectiveness and appropriateness of sildenafil for the as-needed treatment of patients with ED.

Sildenafil treats erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. This increased blood flow can cause an erection. Sildenafil treats PAH by relaxing the blood vessels in the lungs to allow blood to flow easily.
If you take sildenafil for pulmonary arterial hypertension, do not take Viagra® or other PDE5 inhibitors, such as tadalafil (Cialis®) or vardenafil (Levitra®). Viagra® also contains sildenafil. If you take too much sildenafil or take it together with these medicines, the chance for side effects will be higher.

If you miss a dose of Power Vegra 100mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Power Vegra 100mg Tablet for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
It is best to take it an hour before sexual intercourse. But, you can take it anytime between 30 minutes and 4 hours before sexual activity.
Do not take it more than once a day.
Seek medical attention if the erection persists for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse.
Do not use Power Vegra 100mg Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain).
Do not take it if you have had a heart attack in the past 3 months, or stroke or heart failure in the past 6 months.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Power Vegra 100mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Take Power Vegra 100mg Tablet about 1 hour before you plan to have sex. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Inform your doctor if you feel the effect of Power Vegra 100mg Tablet is too strong or too weak.
