You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effects are stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, nausea, and flatulence. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your dizziness. Lifestyle modifications like having cold milk and avoiding hot tea, coffee, spicy food, or chocolate can help you to get better results.

The main mechanism of action of levosulpiride consists of blocking the D2 dopaminergic receptors, preferentially located on the presynaptic membranes in the dopaminergic pathways of the brain; this means that sulpiride is a selective autoreceptor blocker.Pantoprazole shows linear pharmacokinetics after both i.v. and oral administration. Pantoprazole is extensively metabolized in the liver, has a total serum clearance of 0.1 l/h/kg, a serum elimination halflife of about 1.1 h, and an apparent volume of distribution of 0.15 l/kg.

LEVOSULPIRIDE+PANTOPRAZOLE may interact with medicines such as anti-fungal (ketoconazole, itraconazole, posaconazole) anti-cancer (erlotinib), blood thinner (warfarin, phenprocoumon), anti-HIV (atazanavir), a drug used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and cancer (methotrexate), anti-depressant (fluvoxamine), antibiotic (rifampicin), and herbal supplement (St John’s wort).
Do not chew, crush or break it. Protera-L Capsule SR is to be taken empty stomach.

If you miss a dose of Protera-L Capsule SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
