Prunil 10mg Tablet should be taken with or without food. Take it exactly as your doctor has prescribed. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. However, you should never take a double dose.

Prunil 10mg Tablet is an antihistaminic medication. In allergy, it works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine). This relieves allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes. In short-term anxiety, it works by decreasing the activity in brain, thereby helping you feel relaxed/sleepy.
Hydroxyzine is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract upon oral administration, 18 reaching its maximum plasma concentration (Tmax) approximately 2 hours following administration. The mean volume of distribution is 16.0 ± 3.0 L/kg. Higher concentrations are found in the skin than in the plasma.

Drug-Drug interactions: HYDROXYZINE is known to interact with opiates (meperidine), heart medicines (quinidine), Alzheimer's disease medications (donepezil, galantamine), anticholinergics (benztropine, scopolamine), antipsychotics (chlorpromazine, clozapine, fluphenazine, thioridazine, risperidone, trazodone), pain relievers (acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen), medicines used for bladder problems (oxybutynin, tolterodine).
Drug-Food interactions: HYDROXYZINE should not be used along with alcohol as it is known to increase CNS depressive effect.
Drug-Disease Interactions: HYDROXYZINE should be used with caution with glaucoma (pressure inside the eye), emphysema (lung disease), asthma, ulcer, urine retention, hyperthyroidism, heart failure, hypertension, kidney or liver problem.
